Trust. Transparency. Excellence.
Ubuntu Gold Uganda connects verified international buyers with trusted gold opportunities across East Africa — with verification, compliance and discretion at every step.
The name is the philosophy
Ubuntu — “I am because we are.” In much of Africa, the word describes a simple conviction: that a person becomes who they are through their relationships with others. We chose it as our name because it is also how we trade.
Ubuntu Gold Uganda is a Kampala-based firm working at the centre of the African precious metals ecosystem — sourcing, verifying and negotiating gold on behalf of international buyers, refineries and institutions. Every engagement is built the same way: verified counterparties, documented provenance, and a relationship intended to outlast the first transaction.
Our StoryWhat we do, on the record
Six disciplines, one standard: every ounce we touch is sourced responsibly, verified independently, and documented completely.
We do not ask for trust. We document it.
Every engagement leaves a paper trail a buyer’s own compliance team can follow — from first enquiry to final delivery.
-
Know-your-counterparty screening
Buyers and sellers are identified and screened before introductions are made.
-
Independent assay before commitment
Weight and purity are established by testing the buyer can witness — never by a seller’s claim.
-
Documented chain of custody
Origin, handling and transfer records travel with the material at every stage.
-
Responsible-sourcing commitments
We align our procedures with international expectations for conflict-free, responsibly sourced gold.
Six steps, in order, every time
A transaction you can see the whole way through — no surprises, no improvisation.
-
Step 01
Inquiry
You tell us what you are looking for — quantity, purity, timeline, destination. We respond with what is realistic.
-
Step 02
Verification
Counterparties are identified and screened; the material’s existence and provenance are confirmed before anything else moves.
-
Step 03
Compliance Review
Licences, export requirements and documentation are checked against the jurisdictions involved.
-
Step 04
Documentation
Contracts, assay records and custody papers are completed and shared with all parties before commitment.
-
Step 05
Transaction Support
We coordinate inspection, settlement logistics and communication between parties as the transaction executes.
-
Step 06
Delivery Coordination
Secure handling and handover are arranged and confirmed, with records closing the file — and opening the relationship.
